I agree. I've worked 3 stars before that were harder than this.

today was the easiest 4 star yesturday I could not finish a 3 star I'll try again

I had trouble yesterday, too. And today, it was easy. Wonder what's going on...

I just changed from a desktop to a laptop. Now my speed is horrible! Anyone have any hints for a laptop?

I finally broke down and bought a mouse for the laptop. I just couldn't use the built in controls as well as I can the mouse.

I hadn't had time to read reviews for a while or I'd have told you -- buy a mouse! :) I actually like a trackball with my laptop - uses less room & I don't need to be on a flat surface.

WISH - have you ever done a regular sudoku? If no, this is not the place to start. if yes, this is the same, just bigger so more complicated. If yes & you're having trouble with entering numbers; either click on a square & use your keyboard, or click/drag your mouse vertically across the sqare. Justo-- how's the mouse? :)

Wish- In every verticle column you want to fill the empty spaces so that you get numbers 1-9 and letters a-g. you want to do the same thing horzontally and within each box of 16 spaces. no number/letter can repeat vertically, horizontally, or withing the box. If you are still having problems, i would suggest regular sudoku as it is smaller and less confusing. in regular sudoku you only have to deal with the numbers 1-9 vertically, horizontally, and within each square of 9.

Jan - The mouse has definitely improved my game. I guess I got spoiled on the large desktop vs laptop. I think when I am ready to replace this one, I will get a track ball instead. Wish - If you like Sudoku, this Mega is a challenge, but well worth it. Keep trying!

Wish, start with a 1 star puzzle, make sure you have pencil points chosen on the option screen. Look for boxes with only 1 number or letter in it. Then proceed by the way of the others posting. Hope that helps.

Well, my time was an HOUR and 1:09, so my first place score isn't really valid.

Okay, a 5 star in 10 minutes??? I don't think today's game is rated correctly. I've NEVER finished a 5 star that quick before.

It'd be good if they could fix the times so that hours registered too - just got to No.6 with a 8m35s time on a 5-star, but it was really 1h8m35s.

I have finished several 4-star puzzles, but none seemed to be this easy, at least to me. For a 3, 4, or 5 star puzzle, I believe this to be my fastest time.

Yes, that would be 1 hour and 26 minutes to put me #41. First time I've ever done a puzzle this big!

Felt decent at 32 minutes. Of course, it put me last in the lineup because of the over-one-hour scores. But I'm personally pleased.

i never thought i would be able to complete the puzzle in less than 30 minutes, especially while im sick.

today's quite easy. Finished in 27 minutes. I'd say today's puzzle NOT rate 5 stars.

I really like this puzzle, but was having touble reading the numbers and letters. I found that increasing your screen size to zoom 150% really helps. The puzzle then just fits the screen and I can read the small numbers and letters. Hopes this helps someone else.

Either I am getting smarter (not likely) or the Sunday puzzles have recently been easier. Finished the last two without having to guess.

Thanks for the tip Denstress - I normally skip the Sunday 5-stars, but I hit the archives and, it may have taken me more than an hour, but I got through it, too. :)

For sure the Sundays take a long time even with the hints on. But I have fun doing them too.

How in the world anyone finishes a 5 star in ANY amount of time amazes me!!

I thought this was very hard for a three star. Got to a point where I had to guess and I guessed correctly. Quite a surprise since I usually guess wrong.

23 minutes. That makes me happy for a simple Monday. I can't fathom the speedsters that do it in less than 5 minutes!!

Is anyone else having issues with this game opening a javascript file that tries to install a virus on their computer? I had it happen last week and then again today when I tried to load the game. Bad form, Shockwave!

I always have to reload two or three times before the game itself loads. The ads are what I have the problem with.

You are too funny, Janwpd. And watch out for the xanax. They say it can cause dizziness, lightheadedness and poor concentration! Not good for your Sodoku game.

yaizzy --Thanks for keeping me from being the only reviewer! I've taken Xanax & it sure can mess up concentration which totally messes with Sudoku. What I really was talking about was the name of the weird reviewer, alprazolam, which is the generic for Xanax. Every time I saw that weird non-review & realized the name connection my mind would wander from the board. Almost as bad as taking the pill! :) As for today's puzzle, I'm not going to be able to finish - weekend company coming any minute.

If I didn't have so much trouble loading the game itself, I'd write reviews more often. My husbands calls Sudoku "No-Talk-U". LOL.

This past Sunday's game was REALLY difficult for me. Quite a challenge. I worked on it over 2 days. But I prevailed in the end! Congrats to you who actually finished in the top 10. Amazing!

Congratulations, swduffy! I always pretend on Sundays that I don't have time to play since it's family day, but to be honest, I hardly ever even try the Sunday puzzle :P --- Top 10 for me today, a rare event!

I'm just happy to complete these. I've only been able to finish 3 or 4 5-star puzzles yet. I feel like I'm flying if I can do the 1-star in 20 minutes or less. So awed by those who are under 10 min.

Thought that was tough for a 2* today. Must try harder to be communicative!!

Wow! I did a Sunday! I submitted my score, but after I hit submit, I realized that I'd probably taken an hour and 39, not just 39 -- sorry 'bout that!

Congrats janwpb! Just finished this Sunday myself. Takes me forever, but such a since of accomplishment to fill in that last square

YIPPEE! I finished a 5* in less than 50 minutes!! First time ever. I'm way at the bottom of the score board, but since it doesn't show times over an hour, I feel I did well.

The game is fine but I was almost done when a *#$%^ survey popped up and wiped out my whole *#$ puzzle!!!

One star puzzles are so much better for my ego than a 5 star. :)

I agree with you, JustoSerMi, but for me my score is about always several minutes slower than yours no matter how many stars. WTG :)

YEAH! I had to leave Friday's for Sunday! More time to think about it...:)

Also found Sunday 20th a challenge. Made 5 attempts before I had to print the results. Must be old age!!

On sunday I (Otrax) did it in 62 minutes, so not really 2nd

04/23/11's sudoku mega puzzle was pretty hard. i guess i need more practice. great game.
