That's great to hear, MumsyHC. Another thing worth knowing, in case you haven't discovered it yet, is that the game sometimes freezes - but not completely. The score and the opponent freeze, but not your play. You can still play to the end, but your success will not register, and you have to start all over again. If that happens on one of those three 'killer' levels (36,39,40).....well, let's just say the air fist moment takes on quite a different complexion. Easy to miss when one is engrossed, in the problem, so worthwhile checking from time to time that the score is still moving.

Thanks, tillfeuer. I followed your advice and got through level 37-39 in just two weeks--a huge improvement. You're absolutely right about the 8s. I never pass up an opportunity to get rid of an 8. I started level 40 yesterday with a much better attitude.

Congrats, MumsyHC. It took me two weeks playing many times each day. (I spend a ridiculous amount of time playing this game). Levels 39 and 40 can take a while to get out too. But if you play the game a lot, you get a sort of feel for the numbers. For example, those 8s are a real barrier when they accumulate in those 3 levels, so I look for ways to cut them out before they can clump. As your play gets more fluent, the challenge outweighs the tedium, and when you get one of those 3 out first go, it's a real 'Yes!!!!' air fist moment.

Well it took me five weeks but I finally passed level 36. I only play one grid per day, but that gives you an idea of what the others mean when they say it takes a lot of patience to get through that level: more tedious than challenging, because of the number issue. I hope they'll upgrade the program and make the drops more random.
