If you want to beat Gator, practice in COMP BATTLE mode. Set the game to 7 rounds, and set the computer skill high enough so that you lose. What makes Gator dangerous is that he usually throws you after he blocks your slower attacks.

Doodlebug, your review has inspired me to memorize the tile names. Could it be that having arabic numerals on the tiles allows you to use less "working memory" to play the game?

I think this game is harder than Tetris, especially for beginners. This game is faster in the beginning. I have to think to play this game. I do not think when I am playing Tetris. Can you get a high score without luck? I can't.

I play this when I'm feeling nostalgic for the sound effects from the old version of the game. The combos are a little different,
