A challenge, and very interesting. BTW, I'm another puzzler in favor of the ovals. Hugs to all!
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   rings02 May 13, 2008
Beautiful mosaic, glad it was preserved, and a great puzzle. Happy Anniversary Rocco may there be many more. Blessings all.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   zapper111 May 13, 2008
Enjoyed this puzzle soooooo much, I didn't want it to end. Such an interesting topic!!!!!!!
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   PennyQ May 13, 2008
Nilufer thankyou so much for sending in such a wonderful puzzle. I think mosaics are fascinating (the skill needed to create them in the first place!) and this one was beautiful and colourful. A real treat after some serious grass trimming (mower's broken so it was shears to make a path to the birdfeeders. I'm leaving the rest to be a hay meadow!)
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   kaymac60 May 13, 2008
Googled Zeugma, Turkey & found pics of these ancient Roman mosiacs which were recently excavated. This is Achelous who was the horned king of Euphrates and the oldest of the male oceanids. Great story about this mythical god on the website. Great puzzle, I loved, loved, loved it! :-)
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   kaymac60 May 13, 2008
Read your review NM2000 & if you think this beautiful puzzle is boring, you are crazy (or very, very, young)!
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   Marshallsmom May 13, 2008
What a marvelous mosaic. Amazing how well preserved it is after all those years. It was quite a challenge, but well worth the effort.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   MDEW May 13, 2008
I didn't think this was boring. Loved yesterdays puzzle. Happy belated Anniversary rocco and hubby. Galic thanks for asking about Nathan he is doing well right now and prayers for your Bill. have a great day puzzle friends.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   dixiepoo97 May 13, 2008
Nice puzzle, colorfull and ineresting todo.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   Grannytooslow May 13, 2008
There's a copy of this same mosaic of Achelous on the Zeugma website! I'd be chatting in the chat room if I could figure out where anyone is!
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   elleryblue May 13, 2008
This was as difficult as a Friday puzzle, but fun to do
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   mrsminiver May 13, 2008
Fabulous! Loved the colors & wonderful scene. Can't imagine that anyone would find this boring. I thought it was one of the all-time great puzzles. Thanks, S/W!
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   pattyole May 13, 2008
Really nice puzzle. A little hard with the different colors, but fun to work.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   MbWinnie May 13, 2008
A fantastic puzzle! While doing it, I was thinking wallpaper border and wondering who one earth would want that hanging in their house. A tile floor from forever ago makes so much more sense. Sure wish SW would get the chat room back where it was before.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   MaidofKent May 13, 2008
Fantastic! The ancient people certainly had a way with art and everything. Perhaps modern man could learn a lot!
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   myladygirls May 13, 2008
Beautiful tile flooring, makes a person wonder what the rest of the floor is /was like.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   ejball May 13, 2008
This was a very pretty puzzle. There is much to see inour old scenes that we do not know about until they surface. GREAT!!!!ellie or ejball
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   coolnana May 13, 2008
Galic prayers for you and Bill. Welcome back Batgirl. Was just thinking of you.Esp maybe. Have a graet day all.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   NM2000 May 13, 2008
Yeah,BoRiNg
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   Mimitoo May 13, 2008
The Zeugma website, zeugmaweb ************, which is well worth a visit, tells us that this is Akheloos, the god of the River Euphrates. How strange that it was once considered acceptible to walk on pictures of gods, something that today would be considered lacking in respect. Great puzzle.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   jillyb May 13, 2008
Loved today's puzzle - it's amazing what we still keep finding buried. Such beautiful colours
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   jenn6 May 12, 2008
Beautiful fall picture.... Easy to do and NOT AN OVAL...hurray
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   deedeesoo May 12, 2008
I lovcd the fall puzzle. So colorful and it isn't snow. Congrats, Rocco and Hubby, Sorry to hear about Bill, Galic, prayers for him and you, also. It isn't easy worrying about your mate.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   Jillyw May 12, 2008
A really beutiful scene! I'm one who misses the Monday ovals. We have the odd shapes and colour changers once a week so please let us have the ovals Happy Birthday wishes to Rocco's other half for tomorrow.Great day here again today so took a trip to the coast. Greetings to all
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   caper0318 May 12, 2008
I loved today's puzzle. So nice and colourful. I really don't think the puzzle has to match the season, as long as it is fun to do. Glad it wasn't an oval.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   PennyQ May 12, 2008
Joan, that's another lovely picture from you! Love autumn colours almost as much as sunsets. Happy Anniversary Rocco! Hope Bill improves soon, galic.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   gottabequilting May 12, 2008
Well Pats3, that statement was true enough to say at least twice. We ovalers are not being treated fairly, are we? Pretty puzzle today though. Hope everyone improves throughout the week. Our thoughts are with you.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   nannyj May 12, 2008
Great picture the scenerie is beautiful what a clear blue sky and water. This is a fall picture. Very cold in North New York temp only in the low 50's with high winds
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   GertySmith1 May 12, 2008
What happened to my review... That's Australia. And all those stars: What I said was Earthquake, tornados, cyclones...hasn't this ole World had a week of Weather?!
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   GertySmith1 May 12, 2008
Austrlia, shockwave sent this one to you since it's Fall down-under! Joan, that's a beautiful photo and it made a terrific puzzle. Galic, glad to see you back...now to get Bill back on his feet! Happy Anniversary, Rocco! Like several of you, my sons live away, so I enjoyed my Mother's Day talking to them on the phone. ***************************** *nes...hasn't this ole World had a week of Nature upset!
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   doonieRN May 12, 2008
Lovely picture with that clear blue sky & the reflection in the water!! A puzzle is a puzzle. I enjoy them all. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, Rocco & hubby. Galic, sorry to hear about Bill. Hope he's breathing easier now. Blessings for good health continue for all.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   Pats3 May 12, 2008
Very nice photo - let's be fair Shockwave - everyone BUT the oval lovers get their favorites once a week. Please!
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   kaymac60 May 12, 2008
Beautiful photo/puzzle. Really enjoyed this one today. I don't care what the season is, I just like scenic puzzles. Wonder what lake this is in Minnesota? I understand they have 10,000 lakes in that state. Galic1, I hope your Bill gets better fast. I'll remember him in my prayers! Hope everyone had a good Mothers Day. I had to content myself with phone calls from my 4 kids as they don't live here, but had nice chats with them on the phone. :-)
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   galic1 May 12, 2008
What a beautiful reflection puzzle enjoyed putting it together. Mind not quite wrapped together but working on it. Sounds like Mothers Day was a big hit all around. Rocco with 46 anniversary congrats. We have 43 coming on the 22nd. Prayers for all who are ill. Is there an update on Don, Joanne, Rick, Janie, Nathan, Treis & David, Joy, Colin. May the Grace of God be with them all. Blessings to all out there in puzzle land
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   Marshallsmom May 12, 2008
Beautiful colours. I loved the reflection of the leaves in the water.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   Rocco1 May 12, 2008
One of the best pictures for a puzzle that I have seen in a long time. Well it is my 46th wedding anniversary today. Not doing to much. Have to go to work. Hi to all my mfs friends. Thoughts and prayers to all. Especially those in China from the earthquake and those in the US with the tornadoes and all. God Bless
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   mrsminiver May 12, 2008
Wonderful photo. Love reflections in water. Sun out finally here. Had 6" rain in 5 days & yesterday's wind gusted to 55 mph. We were lucky. Neighbor's red bud tree blew over into my yard with little damage. So. Missouri had tornado that killed at least 14. So much devastation. My prayers to those folks down there.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   Jallen5858 May 12, 2008
Just beautiful puzzle, I didn't know we were limited to what season it is. Puzzles are for our enjoyment and pleasure no matter what they are.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   dixiepoo97 May 12, 2008

Nice and easy today. Went to Branson this weekend and had to find cover when the tornado warning came on. Fortunately it missed the town.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   weeborg May 12, 2008
Hurray!a lovely fall puzzle for BoosieSusie, kiwito, and our other friends south of the equator(it's fall THERE) who deserve a good seasonal puzzle too.Maybe sometimes we forget that "www" stands for World-wide web,but nice to see the good folks at S/W,based in california, haven't forgotten.Brilliant!
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   Grannytooslow May 12, 2008
The jigsaw was so pretty! The news about the EQ in China, troubles everywhere, so awful! Is the chatroom really functioning? Messenger doesn't work * Ranch.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   rings02 May 12, 2008
Beautiful picture I'm sure it's this season (fall) someplace on earth...Tried the moving puzzle clicked on the pieces but couldn't move them for some reason....Galic so glad your back prayers for you and Bill you must be exausted. Hope all our puzzle family is safe from all the tornados. Blessings all.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   Grammawest May 12, 2008
Puzzle may not match the season, but was a beautiful picture. Enjoyed it.Prayers and thoughts for all of the ones hit by tor nado's this weekend, in Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Georgia. Such wide spread destruction, and loss of life is hard to understand.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   MountainMama May 12, 2008
Beautiful photo Joan, as always. That is a perfect jigsaw puzzle, no matter what season. Mimitoo, sorry I disappeared from the chat room yesterday. I left the room for a minute, then kids started arriving!
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   pattyole May 12, 2008
Beautiful fall scene. Glad it's not a round picture. Loved working this one. Have more like this. Lots of good colors. Thanks.

avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   mruss May 12, 2008

Loved the colours - Fall is my fvourite time of the year!
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   sers03 May 12, 2008
Nice picture and fairly easy. Off on bus trip to DC, hope it's not raining as hard down there but taking another pair of shoes and socks just in case. Hate 3 hour bus rides with wet feet.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   bcbrook May 12, 2008
What a beautiful way to start off a Monday! Way to go Shockwave!!
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   MaidofKent May 12, 2008

avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   lyndac90 May 12, 2008
gLAD TO HEAR YOU ARE BACK gALIC1 and prayers for your hubby. Non =seasonal but beautiful picture anyway. Planted pots and beds for Mom with my sister yesterday. At 86 these things are difficult for her and she does love the flowers. Blessings to all.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   ejball May 12, 2008
I did the hard puzzle. It is OK but I have a time making myself think. Well a easy one is better for me eyes and brain. The picture was a little hard to ponder since everyting is trying to be pretty. Take care and hope the chat room is open soon.Prayers for those with sick ones Hope everyone had a nice Mothers' Day I did.ejball or ellie
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   Mimitoo May 12, 2008
Jillyb said it all for me, really, although I can't say I grieve for the ovals. Beautiful picture, but not seasonal for the northern hemisphere, which in many places is only just revovering from a severe bout of winter. It surprises me sometimes that these puzzles have such a powerful emotional impact.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   suntexi May 12, 2008
what is the matter with this site I can get the adverts ok but the jigsaw wont load
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   Mimitoo May 12, 2008
GALIC!!!!! We have so missed you. Welcome back!!! The reviews are not the same without your poetic contributions.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   jillyb May 12, 2008
Sideways thumb really - missed the monday oval - and why do we have an autumn picture in early summer? A lovely photo but not very seasonal!
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   fergie234 May 11, 2008
Lovely photo; enjoyed doing it as a puzzle. Hope everyone had a great weekend. I too tried that movie puzzle and don't like it - hard on the eyes.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   Sally T-F May 11, 2008
Loved this puzzle and especially the bears. THANKS and Happy Mothers to everyone!
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   sers03 May 11, 2008
Mama and baby were easy, rest was a little difficult. Raining hard again, certainly has been a wet Spring and with temp below 50 doesn't feel like spring.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png
