just got home from work and did this one to unwind... what a lovely puzzle! thanks.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   pasquali2 May 14, 2008
i can not get todays puzzle 5-14-08 to come up
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   Jillyw May 14, 2008
Really enjoyed this one ,as I love sunsets/rises, and the pieces were ones we haven't had in a while. Greetings to all.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   deedeesoo May 14, 2008
Beautiful sunset. Lots of color in the layered sky. I work Patchworkz and always hit "continue" before signing off and it works every time.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   job4430 May 14, 2008
OK, I'm over my temper tantrum about the chat room. Very glad to see it is "back"! Nice picture and not too hard to do, either. I'll look for you in the chat room!
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   MDEW May 14, 2008
Wow haven't seen these pieces in a while pretty picture. Hokey i love doing patchworkz I am hooked and so far I haven't had any problems I am up to level 160. Blessings and prayers to all.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   patfoley May 14, 2008
to HOKEY, I HAD THAT PROBLEM WITH PATCHWORK ABOUT 2 WKX AGO. TODAY'S PUZZLE WAS FUN
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   PennyQ May 14, 2008
The stripes of colour in the sky were quite deceptive - made it a harder puzzle than expected! Very nice Lindsay and again some useful info. Cooler showery weather on the way here after the unseasonably warm dry spell - it's a bit early in the year to have to be watering pots!
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   mimihoo May 14, 2008
A really lovely picture, and quite suitable for the cut. I found it quite difficult, but enjoyable
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   doonieRN May 14, 2008
What a beautiful sky!! I loved this puzzle. That was also a lovely church steeple! Hope all are having a good day.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   Hokeypokey May 14, 2008
Thank you Mimi!!
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   Mimitoo May 14, 2008
Hokeypokey - yes I had the same expbeerience, not once but several times. It becomes very boring. This time around I pause before exiting and so far I've got higher than ever before, but it may just be coincidence. If I'm sent back to zero again I shall give up.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   ErinBQ May 14, 2008
I like the 'lobster' pieces! Much easier than the 'lizard' pieces that haven't been seen for a while.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   Hokeypokey May 14, 2008
great puzzle today.I have been doing patchwork. Today they erased my scores and had me start over again. Anyone else have this experience?
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   Aunty May 14, 2008
For lobster shaped pieces, this one was pretty easy. Couldn't believe how well I placed on the list. Best I've ever done. 'Course, it won't stay there.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   zapper111 May 14, 2008
Enjoyed the puzzle today.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   Marshallsmom May 14, 2008
Loved the muted colours of the sunset with the church steeple in black. Hooky pieces made this one easier than I was expecting. Glad to see the chatroom is back to normal.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   kaymac60 May 14, 2008
What a lovely, serene photograph. I really love sunsets and/or sunrise photos and this one was just perfect. I also love the squiggly pieces we have on Wednesday & always look forward to working this type of puzzle. Peace, love and best wishes for all the mf's out there in puzzleland. :-)
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   vicden1 May 14, 2008
cool pic, and these are my favourite shape, they put me in mind of weird mutated lobsters. Now if it were an oval, on a day I didn't have to work, it would be just about ideal. :)
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   dixiepoo97 May 14, 2008
easy to do, not much as for color, rather dark and I like color in the puzzels, make it easier on the eyes I find, but maybe that is just me.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   pattyole May 14, 2008
Nice picture. Terrible pieces. I saved an hour today by not working this one. I hate these pieces on Wed. Tomorrow will be much better. Good luck everyone with this puzzle.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   Grammawest May 14, 2008
Puzzle was a challenge, but that's why I do them, enjoyed it. Beautiful shot at just the right time of day to make the church stand out. Looks like the chat room is back to where it was. Have to enter instead of showing up automatically. Now we can tell who is really there.Peace and blessings
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   mrsminiver May 14, 2008
Wonderful colors & made a great puzzle. I didn't even mind the hooky pieces. There is just something about sunrises & sunsets that takes your breath away. Have a good day everyone.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   bcbrook May 14, 2008
Really pretty sky! Great puzzle!
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   mruss May 14, 2008

avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   rings02 May 14, 2008
Beautiful silhouette. Fun puzzle. Off to FINISH last of moving with daughter.Blessings all.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   ejball May 14, 2008
A very pretty puzzle. This type of pieces are hard for me to get going on.It is a serene picture an one that beacons you to enter for prayer. This is so needed for our world in this time of turmoil. My heart bleeds when someone loses everything.ellie or ejball
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   lyndac90 May 14, 2008
The sky colors and black of the church made this a challenging but fun puzzle. Berautifully done. Spring has sprung. No rain in 9 or 10 days again. Peace and blessings to all.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   suleewu007 May 14, 2008
Hi peeps! What the heck is a "server side error"? I can't post my score again tonight. It once again isn't sensational, but, still.... I liked this puzzle tonight. Loved working the sky. Thanks!
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   doonieRN May 13, 2008
Very pretty mosaic. I'm glad this wasn't a Wed puzzle!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, to Rocco's hubby. BW, thanks for the update on your fellows. Good to hear they're doing better. Hope all have had a good day. Blessings all around.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   Pegasus49 May 13, 2008
Fun puzzle, fascinating archaeologic find! To heartwoman69, you don't have to pay to do today's puzzle, just need to sign up, and sign in. I don't have a paid membership. Only other days' puzzles require a paid membership. Maybe SW site was down when you tried?
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   Rocco1 May 13, 2008
Sorry couldn't finish. Thoughts and prayers to all. God Bless. P.S. Thanks to everyone for the wishes for my anniversary and my husbands birthday. Take care everyone.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   Rocco1 May 13, 2008
Nice little puzzle for a change. Not bad at all. Oh did everyone notice that the chat room has changed? Before it would go from grey to white automatically. Now it comes on Saying " Welcome to Shockwave Chat for Daily Jigsaw" enter chat room. Also now it underneath where I click on for the puzzle instead of at the top. It still has a lot of people on the chatline but no one talking. Well my better half and I went I for a nice cup of coffee and desert for his birthday.Hi to all my mfs friends.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   everinjeans May 13, 2008
OH M'GOSH! Thought 'no way' as my eyes went wonky with the colors. And then it started going together. A challenge, but worth finishing. Thanks, SW.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   heartwoman69 May 13, 2008

What a beauty today. It took a while for a Tuesday puzzle, but it was worth it!
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   SonicSylvia May 13, 2008
What a simply beautiful picture and not as hard as I thought it would be in that I made the first 100!
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   caper0318 May 13, 2008
What a great puzzle. It was very challenging, and colourful.Had to pause a couple of times to rest my eyeballs, but it was worth finishing.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   Pats3 May 13, 2008
Beautiful Mosaic and challenging puzzle Thanks.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   CTenRN May 13, 2008
A challenge, and very interesting. BTW, I'm another puzzler in favor of the ovals. Hugs to all!
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   rings02 May 13, 2008
Beautiful mosaic, glad it was preserved, and a great puzzle. Happy Anniversary Rocco may there be many more. Blessings all.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   zapper111 May 13, 2008
Enjoyed this puzzle soooooo much, I didn't want it to end. Such an interesting topic!!!!!!!
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   PennyQ May 13, 2008
Nilufer thankyou so much for sending in such a wonderful puzzle. I think mosaics are fascinating (the skill needed to create them in the first place!) and this one was beautiful and colourful. A real treat after some serious grass trimming (mower's broken so it was shears to make a path to the birdfeeders. I'm leaving the rest to be a hay meadow!)
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   kaymac60 May 13, 2008
Googled Zeugma, Turkey & found pics of these ancient Roman mosiacs which were recently excavated. This is Achelous who was the horned king of Euphrates and the oldest of the male oceanids. Great story about this mythical god on the website. Great puzzle, I loved, loved, loved it! :-)
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   kaymac60 May 13, 2008
Read your review NM2000 & if you think this beautiful puzzle is boring, you are crazy (or very, very, young)!
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   Marshallsmom May 13, 2008
What a marvelous mosaic. Amazing how well preserved it is after all those years. It was quite a challenge, but well worth the effort.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   MDEW May 13, 2008
I didn't think this was boring. Loved yesterdays puzzle. Happy belated Anniversary rocco and hubby. Galic thanks for asking about Nathan he is doing well right now and prayers for your Bill. have a great day puzzle friends.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   dixiepoo97 May 13, 2008
Nice puzzle, colorfull and ineresting todo.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   Grannytooslow May 13, 2008
There's a copy of this same mosaic of Achelous on the Zeugma website! I'd be chatting in the chat room if I could figure out where anyone is!
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   elleryblue May 13, 2008
This was as difficult as a Friday puzzle, but fun to do
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   mrsminiver May 13, 2008
Fabulous! Loved the colors & wonderful scene. Can't imagine that anyone would find this boring. I thought it was one of the all-time great puzzles. Thanks, S/W!
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   pattyole May 13, 2008
Really nice puzzle. A little hard with the different colors, but fun to work.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   MbWinnie May 13, 2008
A fantastic puzzle! While doing it, I was thinking wallpaper border and wondering who one earth would want that hanging in their house. A tile floor from forever ago makes so much more sense. Sure wish SW would get the chat room back where it was before.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   MaidofKent May 13, 2008
Fantastic! The ancient people certainly had a way with art and everything. Perhaps modern man could learn a lot!
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   myladygirls May 13, 2008
Beautiful tile flooring, makes a person wonder what the rest of the floor is /was like.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   ejball May 13, 2008
This was a very pretty puzzle. There is much to see inour old scenes that we do not know about until they surface. GREAT!!!!ellie or ejball
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   coolnana May 13, 2008
Galic prayers for you and Bill. Welcome back Batgirl. Was just thinking of you.Esp maybe. Have a graet day all.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   NM2000 May 13, 2008
Yeah,BoRiNg
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   Mimitoo May 13, 2008
The Zeugma website, zeugmaweb ************, which is well worth a visit, tells us that this is Akheloos, the god of the River Euphrates. How strange that it was once considered acceptible to walk on pictures of gods, something that today would be considered lacking in respect. Great puzzle.
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   jillyb May 13, 2008
Loved today's puzzle - it's amazing what we still keep finding buried. Such beautiful colours
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   jenn6 May 12, 2008
Beautiful fall picture.... Easy to do and NOT AN OVAL...hurray
avatarSmlFrameInactive.png   deedeesoo May 12, 2008
I lovcd the fall puzzle. So colorful and it isn't snow. Congrats, Rocco and Hubby, Sorry to hear about Bill, Galic, prayers for him and you, also. It isn't easy worrying about your mate.
